Jesse Standard, PhD, the country’s leading expert on Asian Martial Arts and Ways is summoned to the aid of his best friend, Tiger Radelle, for assistance in launching a new network devoted to martial arts coverage. The kick off of which is the most ambitious tournament ever staged with the richest purse.
Tiger Radelle has become wealthy through his film and television career, especially “The Tiger’s Tale”, a long running series that featured Radelle as the Chief Regulator of a fictitious law enforcement agency, the Arizona Regulators.
Radelle started as a leading karate competitor who eventually won small parts in action movies. A likable personality with solid business judgment combined with hard work allowed Radelle to parlay his acting into a multi-million dollar business. Tiger Radelle’s Martial Arts network or TRMA was only the latest in a long string of successes.
In spite of all the success, Radelle remained a dedicated martial artist and created his own eclectic system that he named Tora Te Waza-do or The Way of the Tiger’s Hand Technique, simply known as Te Waza.
Now was the time to put it all on the line and to do so, Tiger Radelle had some formidable help including his fourth wife, the brilliant and beautiful Mira Radelle, his son Mason and Jonathon Veluchi, one of the most respected executives in sports networks. Radelle added to this roster by calling on the assistance of his old friend, Jesse Standard.
Standard was a former international judo competitor until sidelined by an injury. He responded to his friend’s request by immediately joining him and founds himself in a situation that he did not expect.
It seems that not everyone is devoted to making TRMA a success and Standard is quickly embroiled in a situation where everyone has their own agenda and some of it proves deadly! Instead of assisting his friend launch a new project, Standard now is forced to confront ruthless business barons, martial arts masters and assassins; some of whom he discovers have connections with today’s terrorist societies. All this is set against a backdrop of an exciting mixed martial arts tournament.
Determining who can be trusted and how to catch a ruthless killer takes all of Standard’s knowledge of the martial arts. The question becomes, can his training help him stay alive when he finds out that he is targeted for elimination and not just from the tournament!
